Mortgage Broker:
A Mortgage Broker is licensed under F.S. 494 to accept an application for a mortgage loan, solicit mortgage loans on behalf of a borrower and negotiate the terms and conditions on behalf of a lender. The mortgage brokerage industry is a fast pace exciting career. As a mortgage broker you may only be an Associate of no more than one office at a time.

The Mortgage Brokers course will cover the following areas:

  • State Law F.S. 494
  • FHA, VA and Conventional
  • Primary and Secondary Mortgage Markets
  • The process from application to closing and much, much, more!!

Mortgage Broker requirements are as follows:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Enroll and complete a 24 hour course
  • Take the required state exam and pass with a minimum score of 75
  • Complete the state application and submit it to the Comptroller of Florida along with your fingerprint card and appropriate fees. The fee for the Mortgage Brokers state application is $223.00
